Care Pantry

Inspired by the Community Pantry and Community Kitchens, we have this Care Pantry that holds all the mental health and wellbeing support and services Keri is able to provide.

These arose from our activism in the last 5 years, and which continues to grow through our community’s trust and support.

These are Free Forever for activists/defenders in the Philippines.

We find ways to resource our activities through mutual aid, fundraising, and community care.

Unfortunately, given our language limitations, we’re only able to offer some of these in Tagalog, English, and conversational Binisaya. We welcome interpretation support.

Read our Stories to see these in action.

Mental Health & Psychosocial Support

  • Silong: Group and individual psychological first aid and respite (immediate care) following human rights violations or stressful events
  • Kasama: Long-term psychosocial accompaniment for activists and/or victim-survivors of human rights violations and repression
  • Tahanan: Social justice and human rights-informed psychosocial support for defenders or activists, including referrals or resourcing support for psychiatric or psychological needs.

For those in need of additional psychosocial volunteers, we would be glad to join you in your psychosocial interventions.

Collective Care Retreats

Ginhawa and Paglalayag Retreats: We co-design, co-facilitate, and fundraise for in-person mental health and wellbeing retreats for social justice defenders and activists, anywhere in the Philippines.

Request here for a Collective Care retreat.

If you are an activist-politicized healer, space holder, or facilitator, join our future retreats here.

Psychosocial Security

Holistic Security: We can help support the design of organizational psychosocial security policies and protocols, especially for organizations and defenders experiencing risk and threats, with the goal of enhancing psychological safety and protection. We also have connections with other holistic security specialists (digital & physical) in the Philippines and globally.

Training & Capacity-Building

Social Justice-informed Peer-to-Peer Psychosocial Support Trainings: We co-create learning spaces for kapwa defenders to learn care support skills such as Sikolohiyang Pilipino guided psychological first aid, crisis interventions, collective care, and others.

These are experiential and practice-based, involves role-playing, case studies, and critical awareness exercises that are always grounded in the sociopolitical.

Mental Health & Social Justice Psychoeducation

We are devoted to centering the interconnections of mental health and psychology, with human rights and social justice. For example, we have been organizing cross-cultural online webinars through our Mental Health and Social Justice series. We have invited mental health practitioners and defenders from Palestine, Colombia, Philippines, India, to talk about mental health under occupation, agropsychosocial frameworks, Islamic psychospiritual wellbeing, and other powerful ideas.

Sign up here to receive invitations for future events.

Believing also in the power of art and creative expression, we are cultivating anthologies that center on lived experiences of mental health with social justice. Read our past anthology Cost of Living: reflections on mental health and economic justice, or submit to our upcoming Love in a State of Emergencies.
